sorry to hear of Davids passing .......haven't seen him in a while , but when we did meet ..... we'd have a laugh or two about old times .......to me he always seemed to meet life head on. A little story about when we were young . I lived where Taylors shop is too now in a salt box house just down the hill from St. Albens school ......at the time in the 1960's not much traffic on the road but when you'd heard the sirens coming you'd all run to the road to see what it was weather police car , fire truck ,or ambulance ......not only kids but all the adults too .......this day about noon we all heard a siren coming so we headed to the road and figured it was coming down the road from Kelligrews everybody looking that way ....it was getting louder and louder but nothing showing .....the excitement and anticapation building up ......still the sound louder and closer , but still nothing to see .....even the people that didn't bother to go to the road gradually drifted to see what was going on ......the siren was unreal when David broke over the hill on his big old pedal bike with one of those firehouse sirens that you cranked a handle to make it louder and louder and buddy he was cranking.......i've never seen a bigger grin on someones face than David had on his as he whizzed pasts us that day ......so long good buddy and thanks for the memories .....
