Cyril Charles Melrose Morgan 1936-2025
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Cyril Charles Melrose Morgan, age 88 years. Predeceased by his father Ronald and mother Florence, brother Harvey (Phyllis) and sister Dorothy (Fraser - deceased). Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 61 years Margaret (nee Scott), sons Laurie (Kim) and Stephen (Paula) and his two granddaughters Alexandra (Nathan) and Kaitlyn (Alex) whom he was so proud of and loved dearly. Also leaving to morn many loving nieces and nephews and a number of lifelong friends.
Cyril was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He retired in 1986 after 33 years with Newfoundland Power. After retirement, Cyril spent a lot of his spare time doing woodwork, photography and gardening. He loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed his daily walks especially those with his wife Marg.
Thank you to all the doctors and nurses at St. Clare’s hospital that cared for Cyril. Your care and compassion was truly appreciated.
