Obituary of Herbert George Hounsell

Hounsell, Herbert George Passed peacefully away on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the age of 73 yrs surrounded by his family in St. John's, Newfoundland. Predeceased by his parents Edgar and Gwendolyn Hounsell. First wife Mary Leah Hounsell (Keats), brother Allan Hounsell, sister Fannie Best. Leaving to mourn wife Rita, daughters Malvina (Andy) Alexander; Tina (Edgar) Oldford; Mary (Tony) Folkes; son David, stepdaughters Debbie Gillingham, Brenda (Fred Bulger); Collette (Keith Carter), stepsons Chris Gillingham (Lynn Underhay); Craig Gillingham, fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn brothers Lloyd (Myra), Aaron (Emma), Ronald (Marie); sister Daisy (Bill Dowding), many nieces, nephews and members of the Loyal Orange Lodge. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Sunday 7pm - 9 pm, Monday 10am - 9 pm. and in St. Aidan's Anglican Church, Port Blandford on Tuesday 12 noon - 9 pm, Wednesday 10 am - 12 noon. from where funeral service will take place at 2 pm. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Port Blandford. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations made be made to the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre or a charity of one's choice in Herb's name.
