One of my most vivid childhood memories was that of Clayton being with my dad at Bussey's Restaurant and Clayton doing a rooster call to my sister Debbie, who would be upstairs in our livingroom. He was so full of life and so very loved in our home. Clayton had a very special place in my father's heart and I remember well how sad Clayton was when Dad passed. I remember stopping in to visit when he left Placentia. He was so happy to see Mom and I. Clayton was one of the gang that frequented the restaurant. Always ready to help.....a broom in his hand, cleaning the tables, keeping things "under control". He delivered the newspaper every day......and always on time. He was one great guy. Rest in peace, dear Clayton and soar high with the angels. I bet Bussey was standing in line to welcome you home.

I remember the day so clearly that Clayton came to view our personal care home. We immediately liked each other and he made up his mind that Kennedy's was going to be home for him. Clayton settled in quickly and everyone loved him. Kevin & I took him out to his beloved hometown of Placentia a few times. People there were so happy to see him and he was treated like a long lost brother. He was very active in the community. The Star of the Sea was his favorite place. The late Cyril Domonie took Clayton under his wing and Clayton became Cyril's right arm. He helped with bbqs and dances and all other celebrations. After Cyril passed other people at the Star continued to nurture Clayton. Peg and John Byrne played a huge part in Clayton's life. Clayton was full of confidence and loved with his whole heart. He never complained just went off to bed and rested. If there was a party on the go he soon got dressed and off he went. He was a very positive influence in all of our lives and because those of us who were fortunate enough to know him will know in our hearts that Clayton gave us all the gift of himself. Rest gently in Peace Clayton.

My sincere condolences to the Mullins family on the passing of Clayton. I met Clayton at Kennedy's Personal Care Home. Family was very important to Clayton and he would certainly let me know. I knew when family members took him out for dinner, when during special times he stayed overnight at their home, when he received cards and gifts from family, and when they came and visited him at the Home. His friends in Holyrood were always kind and very thoughtful toward Clayton. The Star of the Sea was one of Clayton's favorite places. He was privileged to know the secret ingredients in the BBQ Sauce Cyril brushed on the steaks and burgers, because Cyril told Clayton. Rest in Peace Clayton.
