My condolences to Cal and the Davis family. I am shocked to hear of Chris's passing. We had so many good times growing up together in Long Pond. There was the summer the duck eggs didn't hatch. We collected the eggs and had this great egg fight among the rocks around Brenson's shack. An early version of paint gun. Then the summer we showed the townies how to water ski by towing Starch between the yachts on a car bonnet behind your dads little speed boat. We learned to skate on the pond, ice pan in the spring, play ball on the point in the summer. I remember our first hockey road trip with Cal as our coach, laying on top of the hockey gear in the back of the pick up over the dirt road to Bonavista. Then we had those winning years with the Long Pond Blue Fins. I still have my old style hockey game on which we played so many games as kids. You were the Habs and I was the Leafs. So now my friend you are gone, but your memories live forever in my mind. You were big in stature and big in life. Tonight i will share a bottle of Screech with my hockey buddies in BC and i will tell them what a great friend, teammate and buddy you were. Rest in peace your friend Kevin.
