We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Whalen and saddened that we were unable to pass on our condolences in person. Please be assured that you were all in our thoughts and prayer during this difficult time. Dale and Joanne
My condolences go out to the Whalens at the loss of this beautiful lady. She holds a special place in my heart where I have many happy memories of her. She always welcomed me into her home like another daughter and I will never forget her wonderful grin and the twinkle in her eyes, especially when Mr. Whalen was teasing her. I can hear her now saying "Knock it off, Wilf!" while trying to hide her laugh. Well, Mrs. Whalen, you're with him again now. May you enjoy eternity together...
Rosalie and family: Sincere condolences, Rosalie. You have been very blessed to have had your mom enrich your lives for all these years; however, it does not ease your loss . I remember your mom so well from St Edward's masses and school celebrations. She always had a quiet smile for everyone. We will remember you in our prayers.
To: Whalen family Aunt Alice's passing is a loss to all in the Mommy and Daddy Kent super large extended family as well as the the Whalen family and most especially to her loving children and their families. Aunt Alice was such a fine lady and as well a loving and respected Aunt to us (sons and daughters in the Margaret and Ned Kent family.) We have lost many fine people from our early livelier days on the street we spent our earlier lives at on Quigley's Line, Bell Island and these fine people (many our relatives ) I am sure have proceeded on to their eternal reward. The mines closure in 1966 sent many of us further afield to live and work and the close ties we once had living so close together was weakened Our friendships and memories of the Quigley's Line clan and Aunt Alice and Uncle Wilfred will live on Take care all and God bless as you celebrate your Mom's life and her journey forward to her heavenly reward Edward
