Dearest family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Helen's passing and send condolences to all. I was very honored to have her as part of my family. A real lady and always made you welcome. I shall treasure the last time I saw her, in the summer of 2009, when I was in Newfoundland for a visit. She certainly touched a lot of lives and it was an honor to have her as family. Your pictures, get-togethers, and conversations remain as cherished keepsakes tucked within your hearts. May your faith, families, friends, and community assist you in your time of need. So sorry to hear the sad news. We had many good times in Labrador City and would have a lovely chat if we bumped into each other after I retired and moved to the island. Helen was a wonderful lady. My condolences to the family.
So sorry to read this news. I always enjoyed my visits to Helen's home whenever Aunt Lill came home from BC. They were great friends and I enjoyed their stories and company. Jim and I were always welcomed as family. Keeping Helen and her family in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

I met Helen shortly after moving to Baie Verte where I became teacher to her sons Ralph and Bruce. Helen was such a fine woman and a great help to me. My sincere sympathy goes out to Helen's family.
