Obituary of Capt. Matthew William Thomas Davis

Davis, Matthew William As a result of a helicopter crash, Captain Matthew Davis age 34 of Torbay, NL (formerly of Holyrood), died tragically on March 12,2009. Predeceased by his grandparents, Matthew and Hilda Davis, Harry and Ethel Ruby, father William Davis, aunt Peggy Lewis, cousin Chad Lewis. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Marsha (Bragg). Precious Children, Shannon and William, mother Jeane Davis (Brian), sisters, PJ (David), Amanda (Kevin), Amy (Curtis), nephew Cole, nieces Haley and Alyssa, father-in-law Ricky Bragg, mother-in-law Nora Elson, sisters-in-law Janis (Bernardo), Rebecca (Brent), Mackenzie, Samantha, brother-in-law Jonathon, special grandparents Donald and Ruby Bragg, special uncle Paul Ruby (Jackie), and a large circle of aunts,uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues. Captain Matthew Davis was very proud of his profession as a helicopter pilot since 1994 with the Canadian Helicopters, Great Slave Helicopters and Cougar Helicopters. He dearly loved his wife and children and was an avid outdoorsman. There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Church, Holyrood on Friday, March 20,2009 at 1PM. Internment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Holyrood. Donations in his memory may be made to the Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research and / or the Elaine Dobbin Centre for Autism.
