Obituary of Emily Greenslade

Greenslade, Emily Today, 25 August 2017, Emily went for a walk to meet her life long friend, companion and soul mate, our father Norman. Emily passed into the grace of God on Friday 25 August 2017, surrounded by her family, at her son's home in Long Pond. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Norman, parents Florence And William Morgan, two sisters Dora and Beatrice in infancy, her sister Stella and her brother Harry. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bill (Shelley), Wayne (Marilyn) and Cindy (Edgar), four grandchildren, Christopher (Fanessa), Jason (Colleen), Tyler and Morgan (John), and three great-grandchildren, Jayna, Jaryn and Oliver, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Emily was an active member of All Saints Anglican Church in Foxtrap, a life long member of the Girl Guides and a strong supporter of the neo natal unit of the Janeway Children's Hospital. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home Kelligrews on Saturday & Sunday from 2 pm - 4 pm & 7 pm - 9 pm. A Celebration of her Life will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, Foxtrap on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11 am. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Dunn's Hill Road, Foxtrap. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Emily's honor to the Janeway Children's Hospital, the Girl Guides or a charity of your choice. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Doctors and Staff of the Summerhill Medical Clinic, Nursing Staff of Eastern Health and to all Home Care Workers who took exemplary care of our Mom during the last several years of her wonderful life.
