Obituary of Gilbert Murdoch Trickett

TRICKETT, Gilbert Murdoch - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on October 13, 2010, at the age of 94, after a brief illness. Gilbert will be forever loved and missed by his devoted wife Wilhelmina (Kennedy); his children Cynthia Kennedy (David), Kevin, Lorraine Heringa (Steve); six grandchildren, Carla Owen (David), Christine Froude, Craig Froude (Lalania), Stephen Trickett, Robert Trickett, Kera Heringa; and three great grandchildren, Levi, Alexia and Liam Froude; and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Gilbert is survived by sister Joyce Whelan and sister-in-law Joyce Trickett; Predeceased by brothers Hubert and Lewis, and sisters Alfreda Crummey, Mary Butt and Mildred King. Resting in the James J.Hickey Memorial Funeral Home Kelligrews on Friday and Saturday from 2:00-4:00p.m and 7:00-9:00p.m. Funeral service to be held on Sunday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Conception Bay South Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1079 Conception Bay Highway in Upper Gullies. Interment will follow the service. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory will be accepted to the Red Cross relief fund for Hurricane Igor. Gilbert, ever the carpenter would have been glad to swing his hammer to help rebuild the home of someone hard hit by the storm. .
