A great politician Conception Bay South lost! Gordon was the first Progressive Conservative cabinet minister for the District and he brought about the first wave of yet to be surpassed prosperity to CBS. Winning three provincial elections , he represented CBS and the province with style , integrity, and love. Gordon will be missed.
To Gordon's brother, Arthur, this is from one of your old schoolmates, Jeanette Gleeson, I was so sorry and surprised to hear of Gordon's death I used to see him often walking from the home on Cherry Lane to Macdonald's for his coffee and muffin and to read the paper. I had a little chat with him and we talked about old times. I didn't realize he had died until I was looking up the obituary of another old schoolmate Betty Pennell who died Monday June 13th.
