Obituary of Barbara Coffin

BARBARA JOYCE COFFIN (NEE KENNEDY)

1945-2019

Passed peacefully away at her home in CBS, on December 2, 2019, surrounded by her family,  our loving mother, grandmother, wife, and friend Barbara J Coffin (Kennedy). Predeceased by parents, Harold and Blanche Kennedy, late husband Hector King, and sister-in-law Winnifred Kennedy (Morgan). She leaves with many precious memories her husband, Harold Coffin and three sons, Richard King (Annette Warford-King), Randy King (Shelley Neville), and Rod Coffin (Tina Duff). Also leaving six cherished grandchildren Andrew King, Patrick King, Hannah King, Christian King, Mikayla Coffin, and Mackenzie Coffin; brothers Edwin Kennedy and Erwin Kennedy (Velma Kennedy).  As well as many other relatives and friends. Barb grew up and spent the majority of her life in CBS and worked in local health and home care.  She had an impact on several people in the community. Two dear friends not from the area held a special place in her heart; Melida Pelley and Paddy Bailon. Our family would like to extend heart filled gratitude to the medical staff of the cancer clinic, palliative care team, and the local public health personnel, in particular Dr Louise Rogers, Nurses Jeanne Keiley, Taylor Kerr and Kim Buckle.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday, December 3 from 7 pm – 9 pm, Wednesday, December 4 from 2 pm – 4 pm & 7 pm – 9 pm. Funeral Service will take place from All Saints Parish, Foxtrap on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 11 am.
