I’m so sorry to hear this news about Ryan. I knew that he had been fighting this battle. I remember him when he first arrived in my French class in Churchill Falls. He had the cutest accent that he had picked up while growing up in Makhovik. He worked hard at learning new things. It is so obvious from what I have been reading that he has been surrounded by so much caring and love from family and friends. To Ron, Peggy, Nikki and her Ryan - you are very much in my thoughts. Ryan will be forever remembered.

Ryan fought the toughest of battles demonstrating strength and determination in his effort to beat an awful attacker, bittersweet in that he is finally free of pain and discomfort. To Peggy, Ron & Niki, we cannot begin to express how this news of Ryan's passing has affected us with so much sorrow and hurt. Memories of him back in Makkovik visiting our home, spending so much time playing at our house, attending Sunday School has flooded back to us. As we look at this picture of him, having grown into such a handsome man we can still see the little boy we grew to love so much. Our hearts go out to you today. John and I really got to know Ryan when we volunteered at the ski lodge and Ryan was here in Churchill Falls working. He would be down snowboarding and everytime before we would close up for the day Ryan would always ask if we needed help with anything and would always thank us. It was a real joy to have him around and get to know him.
