Ron, AnnMarie, Laurie, Kayla and Steven,
Your Dad /Pop was a wonderful man. He was great to me and my girls. I will always remember his Christmas Eve Gatherings with the big pot of soup, the Friday evening pan fried cod and how he made me feel a part of the family.
I remember telling him that you can’t wear white socks with black dress pants and he went out and bought tons of black socks at Costco. I swear he threw all the white ones away.
I recall him washing all your clothes and folding them ... laying them on your bed and me teasing him that he forgot to iron your socks. (Daddy’s little boy ).
Ron, I know your sad and it’s natural but I believe we should all celebrate the life lived and not the sorrow of death. Mister lived a fantastic life and was loved by so many.
I am sorry I can’t be there... but I’m definitely there in heart.
Love

To The Walsh Family;
I am sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I got to meet him in my days of working at what use to be Price Chopper Supermarket in Kelligrews. It was also during that time that he married Dora and through that connection, I got to know him and have a chat or two. Luckily for me, I was able to play to organ when Ron and Dora were married. As I moved from Conception Bay South and subsequently moved to the Southwest Coast, Ron would talk about his railway days and asked if I met some people that he knew here.
In the days and weeks to come, may every mark of affection and every gesture of friendship be signs of peace to you to know that Ron has indeed answered the final call of the conductor and the train has entered the final station for the last time.
May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
