Obituary of Mary Stapleton

Stapleton, Mary August 27, 1934 – May 5, 2020 With heavy and saddened hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Stapleton ( nee Nugent) at home in Kelligrews, NL on May 5, 2020. Predeceased by husband Vincent (2009), parents Sgt. Ned and Lizzie Nugent. Left with fond and loving memories sisters Anita Nugent, Betty Kieley (Tom) and family, Dianne, Donny (Tracey and Christopher), Corinne, Donna (Stephen, Jessica and Jamie), brother Edward (Agnes) and family, John (Linda) and Elinor (Adam and Michael). Also leaving to mourn many cousins, dear friends and neighbors in NL and those of whom she spent enjoyable times with in Sunset Palms, Florida. Her loyal card buddies and members of the Stapleton families. Mary was so blessed and fortunate to have Betty and Tom to reside and care for her over the last 6 years, leaving them with many loving memories. Also special mention to Anita, Corinne and Dianne for their loving support and assistance and to her dear friends, Rita, Vera, Joseph, Ursula and Tony, Pat and Gary and Dave and Liz for their special friendship. No flowers by request, donations may be made to St. Edward’s Parish Church, Kelligrews or the Gathering Place, St. John’s. A private viewing and funeral service is planned.
