Obituary of Andrea Dorothy Best

Andrea Dorothy Best Andrea passed peacefully on Thursday May 14, 2020 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Heath Centre in Grand Falls/Windsor at the age of 49. Andrea was a devoted daughter to Heber and Patricia Best, loving sister to Stephen (Rick Hibbs) and Mark (Michelle) and an amazing Aunt Yha Yha to her nephews and nieces Jack, Sadie, Jesse, and Jamie. Also missing Andrea deeply is her much loved four-legged companion of 14 years Hershey. Andrea’s family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff on Unit 2D of the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre for not only the amazing care they gave Andrea but for also the support and warmth they showed us. As well we are grateful to Dr. Boodhun for his efforts in treating Andrea and for his patience and openness with us. Andrea moved to Grand Falls-Windsor in 2003 to accept a position as an Instructor at the College of The North Atlantic. It was here that she found her passion and calling. We have taken great comfort from the stories we have been told by former students in whose lives she made a difference. This past week we experienced first hand the amazing circle of friends Andrea had in Grand Falls-Windsor. Your heartfelt messages, support, and offers of help and compassion touched us deeply. We take great comfort in knowing that she had such an amazing group of people in her life. When you remember Andrea do so with a laugh and a smile. She would want us to share stories of her adventures and misadventures. Cremation has taken place and a family funeral will be held at All Saints’ Cemetery, CBS.
