Leonard, Corina, Phillip and family, it is with a heavy heart we extend our most sincere condolences to you all on the recent passing of your Wife, Mother and Grandmother. You could have knocked us over with a feather when we heard about her passing. We must say her obituary was a true tribute to the wonderful person she was. Having gotten married in the same year and spending so much of our time together as young couples trying to make our way along life’s sometimes difficult yet rewarding path. Though work and trying to survive lead us in different paths, and we could have done a better job staying in touch, we still held onto our friendship. I once stopped in your little community in the Northern Territories and met with Leonard at the airport during a short stop over where we exchanged life’s happenings as friends do. We can still hear Shirley’s voice and yet more then that, her infectious laugh which was unique to Shirley and whether it was losing a hand of cards or sharing a funny story she would get you laughing hard as well. While it’s so sad she’s left us all so soon we hope you can share and celebrate her life through the many loving memories you have of her. Forever in our hearts and our thoughts, please reach out to each other and all your friends during this difficult time.
