Mary Butler

Obituary of Mary Butler

Mary Butler left our lives on Sunday morning, December 6th at the age of 70 at the Health Science Center in St John’s. Mary lived in St. John’s with her daughter and was originally of Long Pond, Conception Bay South. She will be in peace with her mother, Lorna Butler, her father, Bob (Edwin) Butler, and her younger sister, Gayle Butler. Left with treasured memories of unconditional love are her children, Robert Normore (with his wife, Lisa), Rhonda Normore (with her husband, Jason) and Melanie Normore, (her daughter and sidekick in the challenges and joys of life). Her grandchildren, Caitlyn Normore, Christopher Normore, Seamus Howard and Cara Howard will miss her gentle hugs. Left with precious memories to cherish are her siblings, Janis Barron (with her husband Frank and daughters, Francine and Lorna), Chuck Butler (with his wife Bev and their daughters, Katherine and Sara), and Jackie Butler (with her husband Stu, their son Michael and his wife, Amanda, and their grandson, Jasper). Mary was generous, supportive, kind, selfless and strong. She will be remembered by her many other special family members (especially Connie, Joan, Muriel, and Rosalind), and also by her close circle of friends. Mary’s greatest lessons to us are to be kind, treasure your loved ones, and remember to say ‘I love you’ every day. Please make donations in her honour to your choice of The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada, or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
