Deepest condolences to all of you on the passing of your husband, father and grandfather.
Walt has been a very special friend to me all my life. I feel your pain in what you are going through. He will never be forgotten especially remembering all the great trips and places we have visited.
Remembering our trips to Florida, Musgravetown and our cabins...and as our day ended and we sat back and relaxed Walt would always say "now what better place can you be than this". And as Walt passes through Heavens gates, we know he`ll turn around with his big laugh and chuckle and say "now what a better place can you be than this".
Rest in Peace, my friend. You will always be remembered and missed by all of my family.

It’s hard to believe that it was just over four short years ago that I had the opportunity to befriend Walt Tobin for the very first time. It was when he, Doug and I decided to take an impromptu “boys” trip down to Florida, during a period when one of his closest friends was experiencing some of life’s most daunting challenges. Who would have ever thought while down there that these three old farts would be jumping on a Caribbean cruise ship, or driving down through the Florida Keys, or ending up at the Kennedy Space Centre, and finally topping it off by having a beer at his sister’s house.
And yet, even more far-fetched, who would have ever thought in just four short years later our friend Walt himself would suddenly be presented with his own insurmountable challenges. I thoroughly enjoyed our friendship, albeit as short as it was. I will always remember that smile and that hearty chuckle, and our last run to Tim’s. Rest easy my friend!!!
