I had the privilege and pleasure of being included on several of her berry picking trips. Rita was a force to be reckoned with. I know Rita will always be remembered and loved by anyone who knew her. She was a genuinely kind, loving soul with a positive attitude and a zest for life. She was always kind and caring and made me feel part of her extended family. I was honored. We became friends after chance meeting while traveling from NL to the US. She was on her way to Florida and I was returning to California. Subsequently, for several years thereafter, we kept in contact and each time I returned home to NL I always visited Rita and we regularly kept in touch talking on the telephone. I will try not to miss her, and will honor her by remembering her cheery laugh every time we talked and how happy she always seemed to be. There is so much to say about her. She was a a beautiful person. I am so blessed with good memories of her and the times visiting with her and Art. My heartfelt condolences are much felt.

Our deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the whole family of Rita, especially to Arthur, of whom Rita was so devoted to his care and well being for so many years.
Rita was our special friend for more than 50 years. We cherish many fond memories of times spent with Rita and Oswald. Even my mom and dad, spent many happy times with them, card games, berry picking and trips to our summer place of which Rita especially loved. She was always , in her own quiet way, the life of the party.
Rita was an exceptional lady. She made time for everyone she met. Once you met her you knew you had encountered a bright star. She was so sweet and gentle. Nobody in this world was more hospitable than Rita. Her door was always open to friends and neighbours. Her table was always laid out for sharing. Rita displayed so much love and pride for her whole family. She lived for family and friends. Rita continued to have a youthful attitude throughout her life, right to the end.

My 1rst ever memory of Mrs.Eason,was the day I met her. I was pregnant on my 1rst child Sheri and due in 2 weeks time. It was mid Sept.1987, as Sheri was born Oct . 1rst, 87.
Albert had said " we were going into the pole line to pick blueberries", she replied by saying " you can't take her into the pole line like that". She was afraid I would have the baby in the pole line, God love her. We went into the pole line, and for blueberries and fr then on in my children have always referred to her as Nan Eason.
RIP sweet woman, with the big heart of gold. You will be missed by family and friends, and all who knew you.
