Obituary of Rita Eason

Passed away suddenly, but peacefully on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021, age 93 years, Rita Eason (nee O’Keefe). Predeceased by her husband, Oswald (1991); her parents, Edmund & Elizabeth as well as her brothers & sisters Kevin (Gertie), Leonard (Sadie), Cyril (Gertie), Edmund, Francis, Regina, Edith (Leo), Patricia (Richard), Vera (Peter), brother-in-law Vince Walsh. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her three sons, Gary (Brenda), Dennis (Jessie), and Junior (Sylvia); her grandchildren Suzanne (Dwayne), Dennis, David (Lori), Karen (Rudy), Michelle (Brendan), Mary Beth (Brad), Megan (Steve). She was blessed to have spent time with several great grandchildren; Nathan, Isaac, Kenna, Danielle, Ryan, Brent, Brooke, Matt, Quinn, Bella, Peyton, Evelyn, and Silas. Rita opened her home to several foster children over the years; five of whom still call her mom today, Debbie, Gordon, Joy, Albert and very “special” son, Arthur. She also leaves to mourn her sister Ann Walsh and her sister in law, Mona O’Keefe as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and special neighbours. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service is planned from the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11 am.
