I worked with Greg at Correctional Services for over 10 years. He was a wonderful person with a quirky sense of humor. He was a dedicated Commissionaire who fulfilled his duties at the highest standard. It was always a pleasure to work with him and he was highly respected by his coworkers. I knew Greg since 1995 as we both worked with Correctional Service of Canada. Had a lot of good times and laughs with him at work, social events, on a hunting trip and much more. My deepest condolences to Greg's family on his passing. I worked with Greg at Correctional Service of Canada. I remember the day Greg started work with CSC as a Commissionaire. It didn't take long before we developed a working relationship and a long lasting friendship. Greg was highly respected by his fellow Commissionaires and CSC staff. There is so much I could say about Greg ...... his personality, his kindness, his compassion, his mischievousness, not to mention his pool and dart skills. He was definitely one of a kind.
Stacey and Greg .... he loved you very much and was very proud of your accomplishments. Brandon, he loved being your Poppy and talked about you often. To Greg's sisters and brothers, he dearly loved you all. I heard many stories of you over the years. You were fortunate to have such a good brother.
May the wonderful memories you have of Greg help you through this difficult time. He will be missed but not forgotten. May He Rest in Peace.

We wanted to send our sincere condolences to Billy, the Kennedy & Roy families at this very difficult time. Greg was very outgoing. His personality was above and beyond. He would light up a room with his presence. He was always there for a laugh and a good time. He always made you feel welcome. Having a little chat with Greg meant he would tell you a little lie once in a while and he was able to keep a straight face doing it. Greg was one in a million. He came to our family home for many years and both my mom and dad thought highly of him. He was a true friend and always so kind and considerate of others. Many card games were enjoyed. During the summer and early fall months the ring a ding the daddy o game was played often and I always wanted to be on Greg’s team since he was the best player. He was always there to lend a helping hand to others. He was so pleasant and funny all the time. My dad enjoyed Greg’s company and he always treated dad with the upmost respect. Please cherish all your precious memories. He will be truly missed. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Just a little reminder to you Kennedy. Dad used to say to you Kennedy be sure and always keep to the right.

Uncle Greg was the kindest and most friendly person you could ever meet. Always there to make you laugh whether it was when he was screeching you in, inventing fun games (ring-a-ding -a daddio) or just stopping into the house after a hard days work. He was always there to lend a hand and never one to shy from washing the dishes after a big family meal. He was a light in our family. A reminder not to take life so seriously. He will be missed.

Uncle Greg was a very special person. He had a way of lighting up a room whenever he entered it; a trait that he shared with his sister Catherine (my mother). And his sense of humour was one of a kind. When he first met my husband at a surprise birthday party he gave him a card written in German that said Happy Birthday to my favourite nephew. It still makes us laugh. Uncle Greg will be dearly missed but hopefully he's bringing a little bit of his unique magic to a special place with mom.
