Joy, Norman and family,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Derick's passing. I will always remember the fun and laughs we had in our school days. Teachers could never figure out which one of us to punish as we'd both be sitting stately and smiling. Derick always took the blame though. Then when we moved a couple of doors away, he would wave from his garden! When your parents lived at our personal care home, it was a real treat to see you guys visiting so often and we could sit and talk about our younger days again. I will always remember Derick's big smile! He will be missed! May God's comfort surround you all during these difficult days and in the years ahead. RIP Derick!

We are so saddened to hear of Derick’s passing. Derick was not only a good neighbour but an even better friend to our family. He was a man of dedication and had endless love for his family and a heart full of kindness for his friends. We will always remember Derick as a hard working farmer who loved his grounds and his gardens and it was never an unusual site to see him out at the ground from morning til night. We would always love to see Derick come to the shop for his chunk of bologna because we knew that a good chat and chuckle would follow. He will be greatly missed by us and all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Our deepest condolences.
