Obituary of Hubert James Power

 Hubert James Power (formerly of Bell Island)

1944-2021

Passed peacefully away surrounded by family on October 28th, 2021, aged 77 years.  Predeceased by his parents, James and Kathleen Power, Brothers Raymond and Milton. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, his wife of 54 years, Regina (Walsh), sons: Greg (Tina), Ken (Lola) and Andrew (Danielle). Grandsons: Hunter, Harrison, Hudson and his granddaughter, dear little Kate. Sisters: Yvvone and Dianne (Andy), Brothers: Lou (Ann), Neil, Walt (Mary), and George (Brenda). Special friend: Patrick.  Brother in Law, Joseph Walsh, Sisters in Law, Agnes and Elsie along with many other nieces and nephews.  Hubert, with his kind heart, had a large circle of other family and friends.  He was a long standing member of the Knights of Columbus. Special thanks to the Palliative Care team, Nurses Jessica and Kim, as well as Dr. Sutton and Dr. Phillips.

Visitation will be in Hickey’s Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Sunday, October 31st, 2021 from 12 noon - 4pm and Monday, November 1st, 3pm - 7pm. Funeral service will take place in St. Edward’s Church, Kelligrews on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021 at 11AM.  Internment in St. Edward’s Cemetery, Kelligrews. Flowers are accepted and any donations can be made to the Cancer Clinic. According to provincial regulations, COVID Passports and Identification are required for guest visitation.
