Obituary of Vera Vaters (nee Jefford - Parsons)

April 10, 1947 - November 9, 2021.

 

Passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers November 9, 2021 at age 74.

Predeceased by her parents: Samuel and Johanna (Joan) Jefford, Brother-in-laws: Robert Abbott, Bob Parsons, Austin Vaters and Sister-in-law: Judy Vaters. Leaving to mourn her husband: Gerald. Devoted and loving daughters: Bev (Ron Campbell), Lisa (Bob Gullage) and grandchildren: Fahlon and Christian Gullage. Stepdaughter: Cathy (Steve Austin) Nicholas and Julia, Stepson: Jonathon Vaters (Heidi) Kyle and Riley. Brothers: Bruce (Hazel), Lloyd (Patsy), Wes (Judy), Roger (Yvonne), Henry (Brenda). Sisters: Winnie, Cheryl (Gus Doyle), Joanne (Dale Bickford). Brother-in-laws: David (Myra), George (Yvonne), Don (Betty), Mark (Cathy), Wayne (Paula), Derrick. Large number of nephews, nieces and friends. Leaving to mourn also are the staff of 3 South East of Pleasant View Towers that loved and took great care of Vera these last five years. A special thank you for taking care of our Mom. You know who you are and we will be forever grateful. A special thanks to Katherine Peddle of Mobile Smiles who took care of our Mom’s smile. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to “Forever Smiles” a not for profit to help enhance the daily living needs for our vulnerable seniors. Donations can be sent by etransfer to 709-682-2245 in Memory of Vera. Visitation in the James J Hickey funeral home Kelligrews on Thursday, November 11th. from noon to 4:00 pm. A private funeral service will take place from the James J. Hickeys Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 12th. at 11:00 am with Internment in All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, Foxtrap.
