Obituary of Doug Rideout
Doug Rideout
We are sad to announce the passing of a kind and gentle man - husband, father, grandfather and uncle at his home in his 72nd year. Predeceased by his father Eric. Left with fond and loving memories his wife of 50 years Lily, son Scott (Sherri), daughter Susan (Mike), precious grandchildren Nathan (Jasmine), Tyler, Brody, Samuel, Graham, Joseph, mother Frances, sister Marilyn (Eugene), brother-in-law Wayne (Olive), Dot (Herb), Bill (Rita) nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Doug was a caring and loving father and grandfather who loved his children and grandsons dearly. He was well known and active in the Parish of All Saints and in his community. A longtime member of the CLB and Old Comrades Association. He also volunteered his time at Ronald McDonald House and CBS Food Bank. He always had time for a chat and could be relied upon for a good story. It was often said he was never in a rush and he always had time for everyone.
