Many years ago on a sunny afternoon a group of us were playing and swimming at the front of the beach on Bell Island next to the ferry terminal. Someone threw a beach rock which hit my sister in the leg. Blood gushed everywhere. She was in much distress. We were both crying and shouting for help. Mrs. Bickford came along and whipped us into her car and brought us to the Bell Island hospital where my sister received many stitches, marks that are still present on her leg to this day. Sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Bickford who came to the rescue many years ago to two frightened and scared young girls, one in dire need of medical assistance. May the many memories of your dear mom and the love, prayers and support of family and friends, bring you comfort and peace during this time of loss.

Our deepest condolences to the Bickford family. Grant will miss Mrs Bickford at Happy Hour, as she was his biggest fan, always sat in the front row and the first person there, and never left the program without a chat and hug from the “band”. We will certainly miss her at Admirals Coast. She was kind hearted and never complained…. she certainly knew how to play cards and told you if you made the wrong play. Lol. This all happened so fast and it’s always hard to let go. Knowing she is free from pain and suffering is comforting and the ones we love never leave our hearts. Grant and Laura Morgan.

To the family we send our thoughts and prayers. Florence ( and her husband)were long time friends with my dad and mom, Even as young married couples on Bell Island ( where they lived in the same apartment house) and after they both moved to CBS with their respective families. In the last few years Florence and Mom once again found themselves living close by at Admirals Coast. I’m thankful for her kindness and friendship visiting my mom every day when she reached the palliative stage. I will never forget her for that. I pray they are once again finding themselves together as friends... forever.
