Obituary of Florence Bickford

 Florence Patricia Bickford (nee McCarthy)

Passed peacefully away at the LA Miller Centre PCU on February 22, 2022 after a short battle with cancer, Florence Bickford, age 84 years of Kelligrews, CBS (formerly of Bell Island) NL. Waiting to welcome her was her loving husband: Eneas (1998), as well as their Infant daughter: Sherry Lynn, Parents: Maud and Henry McCarthy, sister and brother-in-law: Loretta and James Quinlan.  As well as the faithfully departed loved ones of the Bickford Family and extended family and friends. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life are daughters: Karen and Judy (Tony Mercer), sons: Dale (Joanne) and Dion (Tamara Spurrell). Her precious grandchildren who she worshipped and adored, Katie Stamp (Mike), Samantha Bickford (Chris White), Julie Bickford (Tyler Noseworthy), Jesse Bickford and Nicholas Bickford (Brianne Dangerfield), Jordan Highmore (Brianna Ivey), sister: Doreen (Martin Dwyer), brother: Kevin McCarthy (Lorraine). Special friend: Helen Rees, as well as all her loving in-laws of the Bickford family and a multitude of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the Management, Staff and residence of Admiral’s Coast Retirement Centre where Mom made her home these past couple of years. According to COVID restrictions, visitation will be in Hickey’s Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Thursday, February 24^th, 2022 from 2 pm – 4 pm and 6 pm – 8 pm. Funeral service in All Saints Anglican Church Foxtrap on  Friday, February 25^th, 2022 at 9:30 am. Internment in St. Mary’s  Anglican Cemetery, Bell Island.
