So sorry to hear of Uncle Ed’s passing. I have so many great memories of him and his family. As a young teen I spent much time at his home hanging out with Gary as we were cousins. It was Uncle Ed who actually gave me my first job at his hardware store. I have so many fond memories of him as I’m sure everyone does. Our thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends as I know you will treasure the memories and accomplishments of Uncle Ed.

Thanks very much. Our father Edwin Kennedy and our mother Winnifred will rest in peace so well knowing that they were great parents in a great community. Excellent memories of good times with all of our cousins just across the strawberry gardens. And all of our other cousins and relatives in the good old 1970's and early 80's when we were like the Peanuts and Happy Days gangs.

Sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad. I so enjoyed spending time with him whenever I volunteered at Admiral’s Coast bringing music to the Home. Your Dad loved to sing along with me and play whatever accompaniment instrument I gave him; he enjoyed painting the flower pots and the other crafts that we did. But I think most of all, he enjoyed the visits and the opportunity to reminisce about living on Greenslade’s Road and old times. He enjoyed that connection with me through my parents as much as I did with him. He was such a lovely man, pleasant and kind. Keep your memories of him close in your heart; they will bring you great comfort.

Old pic 1942 approx. Our Great-grandfather Richard Kennedy with his sons John and Harold, and his grandsons Edwin and Erwin. On their farmland behind St. George's School in Long Pond, CBS, NL. (Not sure of uniformed officer ID, but it was during WW2, and he has Erwin in his arms). Our Dad (Edwin) is at the right front near the schoolyard fence with a basket of strawberries.

I extend sincere condolences to Brother Kennedy's family on this sad occasion. Ed was a Masonic Brother of mine in Lodge Conception, No. 1679, GLoS, and a dear friend from the time that I joined. He certainly was a kind-hearted soul, and I enjoyed visiting him at Admirals Coast. His presence in Lodge is sorely missed.

Words can not express how truly sorry I am for your loss. Both of your parents were a very important part of my life growing up. Your dad had such a great sense of humor and trust me when I say I was on the receiving end of lots of his tormenting. I always looked forward to his infectious smile followed by a big hug when I walked in the door. In my forever memories, I always see them both sat at the table with a cup of tea and a treat while your father read the paper sitting and listening quietly to my world wind chatter. A little smile on their faces as I walk away. I am sure he is spending time in heaven catching up right now.
