Our sincerest condolences to Myrtle and the Langdon Family. John and Myrtle have been our neighbour's since we moved back from AB 12 years ago, and have always been there to greet us with a smile and a wave. John had a genuine kindness and was a gentle soul, he will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. We met John and Myrt when they opened their store on the Foxtrap access road. We (and our kids) loved visiting the store and having a chat with john and Myrt and their daughter Jocelyn and son-in-law Tom. They were all very welcoming and it was a pleasure to go to the store. It was very sad when the store changed hands but we would run into John and Myrt occasionally after they sold the store and it was always a good conversation.
Rest in peace John. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

The love he showed to Myrtle and his family was quite inspirational. He would always stop and talk to us whether he'd be driving in or out of the park or walking hand in hand around the park with his darling Myrt. Our heartfelt condolences to all of you. I was very sad to hear the news of John‘s passing. John was a great guy who always greeted me with a smile. I remember visiting him and you all during Easter break or summertime trips with our family. Mom and dad loved him so much. I remember dad telling me lots of funny stories with John, and some of those stories he would use as teachable moments for things for me not to do because I would get in trouble supposedly. I think they certainly had their fun that is for sure. There are so many stories that my parents will always remember, and I am so glad that they had John to experience those stories with him.
I remember going out to the Irish Loop Resort one time we visited, and as I was reeling in a trout, the trout started to float in the air so it seemed. It turns out that I cast the line over the power lines, and the trout started to go in the sky. Me, Dad and John laughed so hard at what was happening. I also remember when I was younger, there were Stanley cups in the boxes of beer and I really wanted a Toronto Maple Leafs one for my collection. To this day I will never forget John quickly going to the beer fridge at his shop, opening up a case of beer, and taking out a Toronto Maple Leafs Stanley Cup! I don’t know if he knew it was in that box in particular, or if he had looked in the box for me before. To this day I’m not sure how we were so lucky to get that one. But I will never forget him doing that for me. That’s the kind of guy John was. He wanted to see you happy.
