Oh my, I was saddened to hear of Karen's passing and sending my condolences to Wendy, Jerry and her family. I played softball with Karen over 25 years ago and remember Jerry would umpire the games. We had many laughs during those times but then life lead us to different paths and we didn't see much of each other. We would run into each other from time to time whether it was at supermarket or the mall or probably still at a ballfield or an event outside. Always stopped to say hello with a short catchup. May Karen rest in peace and fly with the angels.

Mac was a tenacious but always fair hockey player. Whenever I looked up from my crease, there she was, waiting to pounce on a rebound and score. Her joy at playing was obvious. She adored her family and devoted herself to giving her kids the best childhood she could.
A wonderful kind soul, she will be missed. Deepest condolences to all her family and friends.

For all Karen's family, I want to extend condolences on you loss. I met Karen when we were teenagers. She'd had a cut from a camping trip in college and we wandered the halls of the Health Science as buddies for a bit. She was warm and generous and caring so I imagine her family had a lifetime of love that can't be measured by years. Keep your memories of happy times close to console you on these terrible days. May the angels greet her and herald her in. May she rest in peace.

Sending sincerest and deepest sympathies to Karen's family. She was a force to be reckoned with. We have a lifetime of memories growing up down home - playing softball behind the church in Admiral's Beach and swimming up to Salmon Brook in the summer. Years being a teammate on our awesome winning Ladies Softball team - aptly named "The Beach" - so many many years ago. I ran into her years ago at McDonald's on Topsail Road. She and I had a great chat about lots of things from our past and her new life as a wife and mom. The kids played in the playroom and we caught up. That was one of the first things I remembered when I heard she died. She was so patient and caring and those kids were so well-behaved. I asked her how many more kids she would have and she said as many as she could because she had lots of love to share. Made my heart swell then and makes it swell now. All the comments I read on here truly showed what a kind person she was.
I wish you peace in your grief and will hold you all close to my heart as you deal with this devastating loss.

I am so sorry to read of your mom's passing. I knew your mom well back in our softball days. I met her many times over the years. One time I met her and it was around Christmas time and it was at Toys R Us. She had two full cartful of toys and was so excited for Christmas. Every time we met she always shared some stories about you guys and I just loved to listen to her adventures with the ten of you. She spoke so highly of all you, she sure was one proud momma.....hugs

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to you all. Karen was a wonderful mother who lead by example to her 10 beautiful children, many of whom I had the pleasure to teach.
She showed up every morning and every afternoon to drop off and pick up her children. No matter the weather, it didn’t dampen her smile or her spirit.
She was kind, caring, thoughtful, and respectful. This, too, was seen on a daily basis in her children who were so kind, caring, thoughtful, and respectful to and of each other and to their classmates.
