A wonderful man gone .......I can see him now coming to the shop with his beautiful potatoes .....but by , the cabbage was unreal that he grew .....he had a smile that would light up the day ......and when he asked how we were doing , I knew he actually cared .....We'd have a chat about how other farmers were doing and how their crops were coming along ......When i'd tell him that he was up there with the best of them and sometimes at the top of the list.....He'd give that kinda shy smile and say ..go on with ya ...I thought the world of him......He had another crop that , along with his beautiful wife , he grew and nurtured very well indeed .....and that was his children ......so I'm sorry to see his passing , by so very glad to have known him ......

I remember Bill from my time at Newfoundland Power. He was a genuine, hard-working, down to earth individual. I can tell from reading his obituary that he was much of a family man and it was obivious from knowing him and his son Billy. I offer my sincere condolence to his family & friends. I was one on those who dropped in when the garage door was open; and my father, Gus, was one of his Millertown buddies. I have no doubt they have reacquainted. Bill and I shared farming and visited each others farms on a very regular basis. I always looked forward to our visits. Bill will be sorely missed.
