Cathy, Butch, Ray & Families:
I was so very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I last spoke to Edna when Regina passed away. Edna spent a lot of time at our house on Topsail Road. Barb and I would be awakened at night after they came from a dance in Argentia or Nick's (if I remember correctly) to their giggling and chatter. Edna and Ray were always so kind and friendly to us as children. Sending condolences from the Griffiths family at this difficult time. RIP Edna.

I was one of the many that Mrs. Joy taught to drive. In later life I was a challenging needs teacher at Paradise! Mrs. Joy drove our special transportation bus. Cathy and Ray. So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Edna was indeed a main fixture in the lives of all of us in Topsail. She taught a lot of us to drive. I remember the first lesson I had with her, she came to our house and when it was time to leave, I got in on the passenger side. She in no uncertain words said “you’re not going to learn over there”.
She was a great friend to everyone and a very respected lady. Rest in Peace Mrs. Joy.

Ray, Cathy, and families, please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved mom. Only a short time ago, Ray brought his mom around her old Topsail stomping grounds. Edna was full of life and still having her say (all fun)! At bowling today, a lot of the ladies spoke so highly of her, some were previous bowling peers, one whose husband won the men’s national singles championship the same year Edna won.
