With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, William Jacob Cable, just 3 days short of his 92^nd birthday.

A man of few words but a huge heart and a passion for his family, carpentry, the outdoors and a game of cards.

Pre-deceased by parents Snowden and Alice Lawrence and Walter and Rhoda Cable, siblings Albert (Ann), Elizabeth (Samuel), Annie and Cecil, half-siblings David (Edith), John, and Gerald.

Left to mourn, his beloved wife of 71 years Sue, daughters: Betty (Fred) Clarke, Susanne (Ron) Walsh, bonus sons: Walter (Brenda) Drover and Chester (Gail) Jones, grandchildren: William (Tanya) Clarke, Pamela (Chad Worthman) Clarke, Jillian (Raphaël) Walsh, Nicole (Nick) Walsh, bonus grandchildren: Tiffany Drover, Nick Jones, Crystal Jones, great-grandchildren: Priscilla Clarke, Freddy (Rebecca) Clarke, Sophia Worthman, Ava Worthman, Finley Stamp and great-great-granddaughter: Addison Clarke, sister: Ruth Smith and half-siblings: Joan (Tom, deceased), Margaret (Ray, deceased), Shirley (Larry), Edith (Dennis), Winnie and Gordon (Muriel). Also, a large circle of extended family and friends.

 Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay South, CBS on Tuesday, December 12^th, 2023, from 2:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral service in All Saints Anglican Church, Foxtrap on Wednesday, December 13^th, 2023, at 11 am. Interment in All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, Foxtrap.
