Marilyn, Lily and family,
Thinking of you all today in your sad loss. Mrs Rideout surely lived her life well as loving and much loved Mom/Nan and friend to all , but also in her humble service to others in Guides, CLB and church. Thank so much for your kind words Pat. Some of my favorite memories are of being in “the guides” as she called it, with her, mom, my Aunt Phil and many more family and friends. She was so very proud to be part of the movement for most of entire life! She was the best camp cook and a diligent badge tester in her day!

Marilyn, Eugene,Renee, Chris and Bryan, so sorry for the loss of your much loved mother and nan. She was a wonderful example of a mom, nan and community member. You should be proud of how well you cared for one another. Mrs. Rideout had a long, full life and while her passing leaves a big void, she certainly had a life to be celebrated. Marilyn & family, although she lived a good long life, it’s sad she’s no longer with us. We can all celebrate her kind life. How many hours did she volunteer I wonder! We didn’t go to Con-Ba-Su Guide hut camping without her there to help! There’s so many more that can say the same. We’ll shed some tears but it will be easy to celebrate a life well lived, and well loved. ❤️

Charmaine Woodland, (as nan often called you, and most everyone else by their first and last names!), I was thinking the same thing as I read yours and Pat’s condolences-I would love to know her exact volunteer hours for the guiding movement, church and other community groups and causes! She certainly embodied the true meaning of both compassion and community in her day! Thank you for sharing your fond memory of our Nanny Francie!
