Though I never had the distinct pleasure of meeting Kay, I'm positive she was a wonderful human being. How could we know? They say the apple never falls too far from the tree, and we've been fortunate to have Christine on our team as a delightful ray of sunshine, positivity and beacon of care, compassion and service to others. On behalf of our team at Canadian Blood Services, we extend our condolences and deepest sympathies to Christine and her family and friends on the loss her dear mum.

Uncle Robin, Christine and Sharon,
My sincere condolences for the loss of Aunt Kay.
She made everyone feel special and always welcome in her home or along on any adventure (fishing trip, boil up or picnic).
Christine, your spoken words are so true, Kay was the best baker and gracious host. Try as I might, she would never let me win at horseshoes.....but somehow, Matthew always did!
Robin, Kay was your constant adventure companion and biggest fan. She showed your studio, latest art creations and magnificent garden with pride and love.
May your many happy memories bring you smiles and comfort at this sad time.
My very best wishes, Kim with Bill, Matthew and Maria

Aunt Kay was a wonderful woman who I had the pleasure to have around me while I was growing up. She always was there with treats and nice homemade buns that I loved very much. She also planned great easter egg hunts. I wish I could be home at this time, but I am sending my warmest hugs and condolences to the family that is there.

In sympathy, I send my condolences to Robin, Christine and family and Sharon and family on the loss of your dear wife and mother. Kay was a true "salt of the earth' person who always smiled at everyone, who loved her family and who could cook! My word! Could she cook! An ardent outdoors woman, summers spent fishing and winters spent fishing, while Robin smoked anything and every kind of fish. Always a treat to be invited for dinners.
Every visit to their home saw a home a park-like garden which she and Robin had developed since retiring from Labrador City, and in which fierce competition in Horse-shoes took place. Everything that happened at that house was a cooperative effort, done with care and love. A real example of a lifelong marriage.
Kay, may you rest in peace.
Frank

Famous for her smile, love of family and friends, her bread buns! and how she welcomed everyone into her home. In remembering all the good times, thankfully I have a lifetime of them, the thing that resonates is her generosity of spirt. She made you feel comfortable and welcome. Heartfelt sympathies to all who loved her. She will be missed deeply.
