May you rest in peace uncle Dave. I will never forget you were the only family member who got the chance to even truly meet Me when u were down in Ontario now its just me the last person left in Ontario everyone is gone home to newfie or with you enjoying heaven I hope your up there enjoying a good game of golf you deserve it after the life u had here. I'll miss you calling me kiddo I'm happy I got to talk to a few times after your surgery I'm happy u got to make it to Christmas with the family. That was the best gift you could of given them was one last Christmas with them.. I will never forgot all my memories I share with u I them dating far back to Giddeon and aunt Mavous I'm so truly sorry for your loss too Gabrielle I love you a well if u ever need to talk I'm here for you always will be for you. To the members of Dave’s family, on behalf of all members of the C.L.B as Governor and Commandant I would like to offer our sincere condolences on his passing. I have lots of memories of Dave over to the Old Comrades Lodge 1 during their annual dart and crib tournament. Anytime I was at a CLB event that he attended he always took time to come say hello or even anywhere that we happen to cross paths. I fondly remember being at Costco and having purchased lunch at their deli and while trying to find a place to sit I hear familiar voice would like to sit with me young lady- it was Dave. We sat together and talked and talked while we ate. His presence will be surely missed out to the club and any CLB event. May he rest in peace

To Dave's family,
So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We met Dave in 2017 when we bought our beautiful home from him and his wife. Since that time he always went out if his way to speak with us at the Rememberance Day services or if we met him out and about. We looked forward to it every year. He was missed this past remembrance day. May his family be comforted knowing Dave touched and enriched so many lives and will continue to live on in the memories of those that knew him. RIP Dave.

It was a pure shock to receive the news of "Uncle" Dave's passing. Being a close friend of his nephew, Jamie, Uncle Dave treated me like I was always family! The sweetest, gentlest soul who had a love for a good game of 'growl' during family get togethers!! He will certainly be missed.

Dave was a gentleman and a gentle man. I had the privilege of knowing him professionally and always looked forward to seeing him come into my office. Sincere Condolences to Gabe and all Dave’s family. Dave was a kind, generous man who was very easy to make friends. We became acquainted with Dave through volunteering with the legion . We had many cups of coffee and laughs together. Pat will miss going with Dave to flipper dinners. Dave even when sick always tried to give a helping hand. He will be sadly missed. Dave was the best dad I could’ve ever asked for. I remember him taking the time to teach me to swim, ride a bike, play cards, etc. Dave helped me with my homework when I needed it. I remember summer breaks from school when he used to take me on the truck with him to see things like Mount Rushmore, The Arch in St Louis, and even a petting zoo in Indiana that may or may not have left me traumatized for life. I love Dave for the father he chose to be to me, especially because he didn’t have to. I’m grateful for the 35 years I was lucky enough to have him in my life. Thank you for everything Dave, I love you.
